The Story
A group of churches local to the Dallas/Ft. Worth Metroplex joined together in 1968 to bring camp to youth and children. In 1998 leaders from the founding churches met together for the purpose of continuing the legacy these early churches began by developing a camp specifically designed for preteens.
With the passage from Deuteronomy 6:1-9 as the guiding principle, the Kidz at Kamp leadership team through prayer and a common goal set out with the express purpose of designing a camp experience for preteens to share the love that God has for each child and to impress God's commandments and precepts upon their hearts as they sit, walk, rest and go about their week at camp.
Another desire of the Kamp leadership team was to someday give to others through providing an avenue for ministry back to the community. This past year Kidz At Kamp established a scholarship fund and provided scholarships for 50 children of soldiers based out of Fort Hood to come to camp.
The desire of the team continues to be to ensure an atmosphere where campers make a memory through fun and friendship as well as a lasting faith foundation to help each child navigate through the growing pains of life.
The Mission
- The Bible is God's inerrant and infalliable word to man.
- God loves people so much that He sent His Son, Jesus, to die for mankind.
- His death on the cross provides the "only" way in which one can have a relationship with God.
- We completely support the work of the local church in carrying out the Great Commission and encourage all to be a part of this local body.
"I thought Andy did a great job relaying the message to the kids and even the adults! The music - awesome - everyone was so camper friendly - Great Job."
"Yell Practice was really fun. It got the kids excited. Energy check was a great way to have kids learn the theme."
